#1 City of Dreams
Script by Len Kaminski (Original Screenplay), pencils Ted Halsted, inks by Scott Koblish; Eddie Brock, struggling with sleeplessness, scares troublemakers as Venom. Hungry and frustrated, he fights bikers, accidentally eats a man's brain, and is horrified by his actions. The symbiote reveals it needs a brain chemical, then leaves Eddie alone and devastated.
#2 A Fire in the Brain
Script by Len Kaminski (Original Screenplay), pencils Ted Halsted, inks by Scott Koblish; Dr. Paine examines Eddie Brock, who claims an alien symbiote eats brains. Diagnosed with dementia, Brock's pleas go ignored. Paine discovers alien proteins in Brock's blood and uses hypnotherapy to track the symbiote, which continues its attacks. Brock escapes, and Paine allows it to further his own goals.
#3 Love and Death
Script by Len Kaminski (Original Screenplay), pencils Ted Halsted, inks by Scott Koblish; Eddie Brock escapes from a sanitarium to stop his murderous symbiote. In the sewers, he tracks it, discovers its latest victims, and manages to calm it with brain chemicals. Just as they start to reconnect, Doctor Paine and his team knock them out with sonic blasts.
#4 Resolutions
Script by Len Kaminski (Original Screenplay), pencils Ted Halsted, inks by Scott Koblish; After Doctor Paine captures Eddie’s symbiote, Eddie escapes a time bomb and seeks revenge. He breaks into Paine’s lab, frees the symbiote, and transforms into Venom. Venom defeats Paine and drains his brain, leaving him to suffer. Eddie later returns to the sewers with chocolates to replenish the symbiote’s needs.
